The Graduates
Job Title: Graphic Designer
Production Designer: Elizabeth Godar
I worked on this film remotely in 2021 and was lucky enough to be able to attend the film’s premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2023. This film will always have a very special place in my heart since it was the first time I got to see my graphics on the big screen in a movie theater.
The Graduates is an thoughtfully-told, tender, and emotional story the aftermath of a school shooting on a community, primarily the protagonist Genevieve - one of the victims’ girlfriend - and many of the victims friends, teachers, and loved ones. The goal with the graphics for this film was to communicate authenticity and maintain a sense of realism because, unfortunately, this is the reality for many Americans today. My main contributions were the branding for “Lewis High School” along with various props that helped tell Genevieve’s story.

I designed this color block mural based on a reference from Elizabeth, and mapped it out to scale so that the scenic department could go ahead and draw it on the set.
