In the excitement of having just attended the premiere screening of Caddo Lake and having it release on Max shortly thereafter, I was eager to see the public’s reception. My favorite headline, without questions was from The Wrap: “Caddo Lake Review: We Can’t Tell You Anything About Caddo Lake.”

I worked remotely on this project from partial quarantine in Brooklyn while the majority of the crew braved the wilderness in Shreveport, Louisiana & Karnack, Texas. The premiere in Fall 2024 was not only my first opportunity to see everything come together, but also the first time I met anyone from the crew in person. It was true delight to see everything and everyone come together. My biggest contribution to the film was an interactive computer sequence that Ellie (Eliza Scanlen) clicks through towards the end of the film. It’s a HUGE SPOILER, so I’m only gonna include it at the end. Scroll at your own risk. Seeing it in the final cut of the film was extremely gratifying & exciting. I’m psyched to have contributed a small bit to telling this wild story.
